PORTAGE, Wis. — A shelter in place order was put into place on Wednesday night in Portage after a possible gas leak.
According to the city’s police department, the leak is believed to be at the CP Rail Yard in the 400 block of West Oneida Street.
A Facebook post said all people within the width of DeWitt and Armstrong streets and the length of West Oneida and West Marion Streets should shelter in place.
The post did not say how long the order is expected to be put into place.
