MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction released its report cards Tuesday, evaluating how each of the state’s school districts performed last school year.
DPI officials said 358 of the 377 public school districts met, exceeded or significantly exceeded expectations. Additionally, 24 districts moved up one accountability rating. Each district is given a score based on achievement, growth, outcomes for target groups and how many students are on track to graduate.
Whitefish Bay School District saw the highest score in the state among K4-12 districts, 93.2. The district registered a 91.4 achievement score and a 99.2 growth score. Menominee Indian School District was given the lowest score in the state among K4-12 districts, 48.4. The district’s achievement score was 12.1.
