Teen Struck By Vehicle While Crossing Street in Dubuque

Police said a teenager was struck and injured by a vehicle that fled the scene in Dubuque. 16 year old Aubrina Buol of Dubuque was taken by private vehicle to UnityPoint Health-Finley Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Buol told police she was crossing Illinois Avenue near the intersection with Drexel Avenue at around 9:35 p.m. Saturday when a vehicle struck her and caused her to lose consciousness. A witness told police that a white Chevy pickup truck turning from Drexel onto Illinois struck Buol. A report says the driver then fled the scene after seeing the witness.
