The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an ATV crash on Bouska Road in the Township of Bridgeport Saturday around 5:30pm . An investigation determined that 40 year old Daniel Jones of Prairie du Chien was operating an ATV on Bouska Road and traveled into a gravel driveway to turn-around. As he was turning around, he rapidly accelerated, lost control, and overturned. Jones and his passenger, 30 year old Mary Miller of Prairie du Chien, suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital. The ATV had moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Jones exhibited signs of impairment and was charged with operating an all-terrain vehicle while under the influence of an intoxicant, causing injury. This case remains under investigation and additional charges are pending. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Bridgeport First Responders, the Bridgeport Fire Department, Prairie du Chien Police Department, Gundersen Ambulance, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and Milo’s Towing Service.
