On Tuesday, the Grant County Board of Supervisors approved a contract for the first County Administrator. The creation of this position is part of the ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the county government. After a selection process, the Board of Supervisors appointed Sheriff Nate Dreckman as their County Administrator, starting October 1. Sheriff Dreckman will resign as Sheriff effective September 30 and will assume the duties as County Administrator on October 1. Sheriff Dreckman will notify the Governor’s Office and the Governor will make an appointment until the next election.
