A Hazel Green man has been sentenced to two years of probation for leading authorities on a high-speed chase through two counties. 20 year old Anthony Drapeau of Hazel Green received the sentence in Iowa District Court of Dubuque County after pleading guilty to one count of eluding with a speed 25 mph or more over the speed limit. Drapeau also must pay a $1,025 civil penalty. The charge stems from a May 27 incident in which a Dubuque County Sheriff’s Department deputy attempted a traffic stop on Drapeau’s vehicle for a lack of license plates on U.S. Highway 52 near Massey Station Road. The vehicle traveled in excess of 110 mph in a 55-mph zone on U.S. Highway 52 South before entering St. Donatus in Jackson County. The vehicle turned around in a parking lot and headed north toward Dubuque. The vehicle eventually pulled over to the side of the road, and Drapeau was taken into custody,
