A Dubuque nonprofit is pushing to raise about $60,000 by the end of the year. The Fountain of Youth Program, which offers programming for self-development and helps participants end the cycle of generational poverty, recently announced an unexpected budgetary shortfall that threatens the future of the organization. The organization budgeted based on the expectation of receiving a state grant but learned that grant won’t be handed down until at least next year.
