Iowa man arrest for 3rd OWI in Benton

On Monday at 11:01 PM Benton Fire, Benton First Response, and Hazel Green EMS responded to County Highway H in Benton Township for a one vehicle accident. 65-year-old Charles R. House of Protivin IA was traveling on County H when he failed to maintain control, left the roadway and came to a rest in the ditch. House was transported to the hospital for injuries sustained during the accident. House’s vehicle received disabling damage and was towed from the scene. House was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, 3rd Offense. House was transported to Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and remains.
