On Friday, Dubuque Racing Association and the Q Casino + Resort hosted a presentation about the Schmitt Island Sports Complex Feasibility Study. More than 2,000 community members responded to a public survey. CEO and President of the DRA Alex Dixon spoke about the role of the DRA in the community and with this project.
Even though Friday was Dixon’s last day, Dixon emphasized it’s up to the community to make the sports complex happen, like they did with the ice arena.
Dixon emphasized that the feasibility study was the first step in the process and it is up to the tri-state community to make a sports complex a reality in Dubuque. For more information on the project visit schmittisland.com.
