NBC will re-air the inaugural episode of Saturday Night Live on February 15th, one day before the network’s three-hour special celebrating the show’s 50th anniversary. The 1975 episode, hosted by George Carlin, featured original cast Dan Aykroyd, John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Jane Curtin, Garrett Morris, Laraine Newman and Gilda Radner. The show also had music from Billy Preston and Janice Ian, plus appearances by Andy Kaufman and Jim Henson. The re-airing is part of the show’s larger 50th-anniversary campaign, leading up to the anniversary special on Feb. 16, featuring a star-studded lineup including Miley Cyrus, Paul McCartney, and Robert De Niro.
