Milk Truck Overturns in Northern Grant County

Authorities with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a milk truck that overturned onto its side Monday on Highway 133 north of Blue River around 1:15pm. A report says Lawrence Buck, of Lime Springs, Iowa, was operating a 2018 Freightliner milk tanker on Highway 133 and fell asleep. The milk truck went off the road and into a ditch, overturning and coming to rest on the passenger side. The milk truck was fully loaded at the time of the crash and was traveling to a plant in Muscoda. Buck suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. Buck was cited for inattentive driving. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Blue River Fire Department and Blue River EMS. The milk truck was removed from the scene by Wegner’s Auto Service of Richland Center.
