MADISON, Wis. — The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man who police said died after a crash on Friday.
Dayton P. Quaerna, 42, of Janesville died of injuries sustained in the crash. Madison police said Quarena was involved in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US 12 and County Highway AB. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 60-year-old man who police said was driving the other vehicle involved in the crash was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Madison police said he is being charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated – first offense. That charge has not been formally filed in court. Police said charges may change pending the Wisconsin State Patrol’s investigation into the crash.
