A Jackson County man accused of killing his wife acknowledged shooting her less than 24 hours after her death, according to testimony provided Thursday at his ongoing murder trial. 58 year old Christopher Prichard of Bellevue, is charged in Iowa District Court of Jackson County with first-degree murder and first-degree robbery in the fatal shooting of his estranged wife, 55 year old Angela Prichard He has pleaded not guilty. Jeff Junk, of rural Bellevue, testified Thursday that Christopher Prichard showed up at his house around 8:30 p.m. Oct. 8, 2022. Junk testified that Christopher Prichard was carrying a shotgun when he arrived at the home, although he gave the weapon to Junk when asked. Junk also said he’d been told previously that day that Angela Prichard had been shot. Christopher Prichard said he had shot her in the arm.
