On Thursday around 6:50am 24 year old Tala Enloe of Mount Horeb, was driving a Ford Fusion on the exit 21 ramp, to Business 151 in Platteville Township. Enloe and her infant baby, who was properly secured in a child safety system, were stopped at the yield sign, waiting for a west bound vehicle on Business Highway 151, when a 2015 Freightliner semi, driven by 66 year old Stuart Rogers of Brodhead, was driving down the same exit ramp. As Rogers was approaching the intersection with Business Highway 151 and Enloe’s vehicle, Rogers drove around on the left side of the Enloe vehicle, striking the left rear bumper area of Enloe’s car. A witness to the crash, 29 year old Sarah Linderberg of Hazel Green, had to suddenly stop to avoid hitting Roger’s semi. Linderberg called 911 immediately and she stopped to check the condition of the occupants in Enloe’s vehicle. Platteville Police and Fire, along with Southwest Health EMS responded. Both Enloe and her baby were checked out by EMS and were released to a family member, who arrived. No injures were reported. The Enloe vehicle had moderate damage and was removed by a family member. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office made contact with Rogers, who reported he was unaware he was involved in a crash. Rogers had left the area and was en route to a delivery, but agreed to stop and speak with law enforcement. The Mount Horeb Police Department made contact with Rogers and he was cited for Unsafe Passing. There was no damage to Rogers’ semi.
