On Tuesday last week, the Crawford County Sheriff’s department reported that a narcotics / theft related search warrant was served at a residence on County Road N in the Township of Prairie du Chien. Law enforcement personnel initiated contact with 38 year old Amanda Bakalars of Prairie du Chien, and 48 year old Joshua Czap of Prairie du Chien. Bakalars and Czap were under the influence of controlled substances. A search of the room was conducted, and numerous items of evidentiary value were discovered, including methamphetamine, methamphetamine paraphernalia, and marijuana. After searching the room, law enforcement personnel responded to Czap’s residence in Prairie du Chien and executed a search of his residence under Wisconsin ACT 79 as Czap is on probation. A search of his residence was conducted, and items of evidentiary value were discovered, including methamphetamine, methamphetamine paraphernalia, and THC concentrate. Bakalars and Czap were arrested for violating the conditions of their probation. Bakalars was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine. Czap was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
