Historic aircraft will soon be seen over Dubuque. According to the Dubuque Regional Airport, members of the North American Trainer Association will be flying around the area from July 18 to July 21. An estimated 40 World War II-era AT-6 Texans are gathering again in Dubuque for formation practice ahead of the annual Experimental Aircraft Association Fly-In in Oshkosh. Other WWII military training aircraft will include P-51 Mustangs and Corsairs. The formation clinic is private, but a release states there is an observation area off Aviation Drive near the Captain Robert L. Martin Terminal for the public to view the aircraft. Optimal viewing times for spectators is expected to be between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. each day.
