A Dubuque man was arrested after police said he threatened another person with a baseball bat. 26 year old Justin Nadermann of Dubuque was arrested Wednesday at his residence on charges of going armed with intent and assault while displaying a dangerous weapon. A report says that officers responded at about 4:25 p.m. Wednesday to the area of Seventh and Jackson streets for a report of a disturbance involving an individual swinging a bat. Based on the report, the victim was identified and questioned by officers. The man said he overheard someone locating a wallet that belonged to someone with the last name Nadermann, who he knew lived down the street. He attempted to return the wallet unsuccessfully before returning it to a local warming shelter. The man told officers he later was approached by Nadermann and several of his family members and that they asked for the money that was in the wallet. The man denied taking any cash, at which point he told officers Nadermann grabbed a bat and swung at him four or five times.
