Platteville Community Fund awards $47,500 in grants

Platteville Community Fund recently awarded more than $47,500 in grants to 12 local organizations and projects. The fund is a component of Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, a charitable organization that serves nine southern Wisconsin counties, including Crawford, Grant, Iowa and Lafayette. The  largest grant was to Inspiring Communities Inc. for $25,000 to support the purchase of the Platteville Fire Station epoxy flooring. Since 2005, Platteville Community Fund has awarded more than $ 1,283,000 in local grants.
