School’s Out Day Camps: Animal Oddities
Join the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium for School’s Out Day Camps that take place on weekdays when the Dubuque Community School District is not in session. These full-day camps are for students in K-5th grade. Explore something new at one or more of our popular day and overnight camps, focused on history, culture, biology, and STEM topics! This day camp is Animal Oddities. What has the bill of a duck, the tail of a beaver, and the body of an otter? The platypus is not alone in its strange appearance. Match form to function in some of the world’s strangest creatures and learn the benefits of being different.
